Antique Scrimshaw Butterfly Necklace

This gorgeous antique scrimshaw butterfly necklace is outstanding workmanship. I think it was constructed sometime in the mid nineteen hundreds.

The piece is framed with Gabon ebony, a hardwood from Africa, and it is hung on an 18" Sterling silver chain.
