This fun little 1.25" Fossil Mammoth Ivory Necklace has been hand carved from 10,000 year old Mammoth Ivory found in Alaska. The color added is permanent India Ink. Set with a 18" gun metal silver chain.
A little history on these 3 pieces. Sometime when I have been away from the Jewelers Bench for a while it takes a while to get the mind and body focused on the task at hand. So I decided to make 10 minute challenge pieces. I set a timer and just focus on the carving, no specific design, just the muscle memory movements. These where a lot of fun to make and like a painter it opens the mind and body to the work.
